This position requires a Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus three 3 years of related experience in software engineering or information technology. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field plus five 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in software engineering or information technology. Must also have 12 months of demonstrated ability which may have been gained concurrently with each of the following 1 designing and developing ecommerce platform to handle high volume traffic; 2 troubleshooting and fixing production defects in real time; 3 designing and developing micro services and web services using Spring, REST, and SOAP; and 4 participating in peer code reviews. Must also have handson experience which may have been gained concurrently in each of the following 1 developing highlevel detailed requirements and detailed function designs for the software development of new applications; 2 utilizing the following tools and technologies Cassandra, Apache Kafka, Apache Tomcat, JAXWSSpring RESTFUL services, and Spring.
