Specific Skills

PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision with emphasis in school counseling, or equivalent terminal credential meeting CACRREP core faculty eligibility requirements. ABD candidates will be considered. Candidates must be licensed or licenseeligible in Indiana, preferably as a school counselor but alternatively as a mental health counselor or psychologist. Employer seeks candidates with 2 years of experience providing services in school contexts. To satisfy this, employer accepts evidence of 2 academic years each comprising 9 months in any role relating to counseling, counseling education, supervision of counselors, or similar experience, at any educational or instruction institution. Employer also requires demonstrated experience and training in the supervision of mental health counseling andor school counseling candidates. To satisfy this, employer accepts evidence of 1 one semester 16 weeks evidence in any role involving supervision or mentorship of graduate degree candidates enrolled in either mental health counseling or school counseling degree programs; or 2 publication of scholarly articles in peerreviewed journals or proceedings for national or international conferences relating to supervision or mentorship of graduate degree candidates enrolled in either mental health counseling or school counseling degree programs. Employer requires evidence of ability to conduct scholarly activities in counseling, counseling education andor school counseling. To satisfy this, employer accepts evidence of publication of scholarly articles in peerreviewed journals or proceedings for national or international conferences relating to counseling, counseling education andor school counseling.
