Graduates of such programs will have the requisite expertise in the strategic financial methodologies which are critical to the competition of the duties of the position. We specify the degree must be at least a BBA as opposed to a general Bachelors in Accounting or Finance because such programs prepare graduates to manage a function of a company within the context of an entire business whereas bachelors degrees in Accounting or Finance do not. Thus, an individual with a minimum of a BBA in Accounting or Finance will have focused on theories strategies of those fields along with functional knowledge within multiple areas of business. This is what the role requires.br TWO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PERFORMING ACCOUNTING ANDOR FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OF OPERATIONS FOR A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER INCLUDING ANALYSIS OF ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL DATA, ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL RAMIFICATIONS OF WORKING WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES AND THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATORS, AND ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL STRATEGY The position of Accounting Analyst focuses on ensuring that the offices of the enterprise function cohesively and effectively from an operational and fiscal viewpoint. To be qualified to perform these duties, the Analyst must have the knowledge gained through experience performing accounting andor financial analysis of operations for a health care provider. Operations in health care provider offices are distinct and different from operations of other entities. Thus, the experience in such an office is required. We specify that the experience must have included analysis of financial ramifications of working with insurance companies and third party administrators because this type of analysis is complex and limited to those in this sector. Most health care providers work with multiple insurance companies each of which provides multiple plans to their clients. Making sound financial decisions regarding the acceptance of such plans requires an indepth knowledge of the insurance industry and how it affects the provider in terms of the cost to the provider of accepting the plan versus the cost to the providers of losing patients whose plans are not accepted. Further working with third party administrators of health care plans adds an additional level of complexity to the mix. The employer will be relying on the Analyst to utilize her experience in these areas to provide them with analysis upon which we can depend. They will also be relying on her to provide the benefit of her experience in analyzing appropriate financial strategies for increased profit for our organization.br We respectfully submit that the requirements for the job are normal for the occupation.
