Masters degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, and 3 years of experience as a Hardware or Software Engineer; OR Bachelors degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, and 5 years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience as a Hardware of Software Engineer. As part of the experience being required, applicants must have had experience in all of the following Designing DC power supplies to meet high availability requirements and functional safety IEC61508 andor SIL2 or SIL3; Performing reliability and availability calculations using prediction databases, vendor data, Bill of Materials, operating voltagetemperature ranges, and FMEDA techniques, and experience aggregating component availability to drive system availability and reliability allocations; Production development and release of printed circuit board level electronic hardware systems with expertise in analog design using components such as DACs, ADCs, opamps, comparators, current and voltage sensing, active passive filters or isolated power supply design; Simulating analog circuit performance and reliability e.g., using software such as MathCad, LTspiceSaber or similar; Fault tolerant design, redundant design, high availability design, or avionics design, and experience in performing PFDPFH calculations for safety applications; Electronic hardware design tools, such as schematic capture Mentor Graphics or similar, PCB design, timing analysis, and signal integrity HyperLynx or similar; Creating ULATEX compliant design isolation spacing, preventing and elimination EMCEMI issues; Developing electronic hardware systems that meet product certification requirements, such as UL, CE, or IEC 61010, security standards, such as IEC 62443 and functional safety standards such as IEC 61511; Gigabit high speed communication systems design, including basic signal integrity; and 28 mm ASIC Validation Design, including performing differential cabling and highspeed communication validation. Applicants must have formal process safety training from a recognized body e.g., Exida, ISA, or TUV in hardware and software design.
