Five 5 years of work experience with software architecture and managing multiple software engineers and software architects from low to high levels on multiple projects.br One 1 year of experience with crisis management with clients to mitigate complex and unanticipated software issues.br One 1 year of experience with proprietary software, including the Java platform and SQL server optimization.br br Language The Director of Engineering must be fluent in both Spanish and English in order to communicate with internal engineers, software developers, and junior level staff located at the Companys offices in Mexico, via email, phone, video message, and in person. The Director of Engineering must be fluent in both Spanish and English in order to effectively communicate to employees assigned to develop code for the Director of Engineerings client accounts and ensure projects are completed. The Company has 120 engineers working at the Company office in Mexico, all of whom speak Spanish and 70 of whom speak absolutely no English. As their director, the Director of Engineering must communicate with these engineers in Spanish to ensure clarity in the instruction. This instruction must be clearly expressed in a language the engineers are fluent in, as the tasks are complex. These instructions allow the Director of Engineering to coordinate and select internal resources for the execution of projects, to meet with staff to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget, to assist in the definition of the scope and objectives of projects as well as their technical feasibility, to delegate and train project tasks based on strength of employees, to develop comprehensive architecture plans, and to discuss performance and bond with staff.br br Travel Travel is required nationally and internationally 90 of the time to unanticipated client sites in and around the Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, DC metro areas and Mexico. Telecommuting is permitted.
