This position requires a Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus three 3 years of related experience. Alternative requirements will accept a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus five 5 years related progressive, postbaccalaureate experience. Must also have 12 months of demonstrated ability which may have been gained concurrently with each of the following 1 implementing endtoend software development processes and practices and utilizing agile and scrum methodologies; 2 working with nontechnical resources on the team to translate data needs into Big Data solutions using the appropriate tools; 3 working in SQLNOSQL databases and performance tuning of queries; 4 automation of processes by writing scripts and building monitoring tools; and 5 providing production support for deployment, monitoring and incident management of critical application and database servers. Must have academic coursework in web and data mining, including big data solutions using Hadoop technology and MPP platforms. Must also have experience with design solutions using streaming frameworks including Flume, Distributed file formats including Avro, cross platform service interfaces including Thrift and data formats including JSON. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Masters program.
