Specific Skills

Must have at least one year experience working maintenance in a high volume output meat processing facility. Must have advanced knowledge and understanding of mechanical reasoning and automated processing equipment; ability to troubleshoot situations and determine underlying causes in mechanical and electrical equipment; ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints of plant layout and designs. Must have basic understanding of industrial refrigeration and its properties. Must have experience with SQF, FSMA, HACCP or comparable food safety programs, and understanding of USDA plant requirements such as GMPs and FSIS requirements. Must have thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and steam driven systems, and understand properties and hazards of low and medium voltages. Must be able to design and trouble shoot electrical control circuits and have a strong understanding of electromechanical systems. Must be able to calculate motor to gearbox rations, determine sheave pulleys RPMs. Must be able to maintain a budget. Multiple openings.
