The position requires a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 1 year of experience with airline IT technologies, QA experience backend software functional testing, including API, middleware, and Webservices. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 5 years of experience with airline IT technologies, QA experience with backend software functional testing, including API, middleware, and Webservices. Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following experience may be gained concurrently Knowledge of EDIFACT and XML messaging structure and grammar to code test scripts and analyze logs corresponding to the functional flows; coding test scripts for the underlying automation framework using Python; experience with Webservices testing, including handling WSDLs Web Service Definition Language and creating logic, to enable the backend Quality Assurance Engineer to validate functional flows without any user interface; using SoapUI to build API tests as backend testing is carried out by sending messages requests and validating the reply response; proficiency with Software Testing Life Cycle and Quality Assurance deliverables at each phase of the lifecycle; experience with Agile method and participation on an Agile team working with quality assurance, Developers, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners; and experience using Waterfall method on lifecycle projects from conception through deployment.
