Specific Skills

Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or foreign equivalent, from one of the six U.S. regional accrediting associations or by an equivalent international institution of higher education. ABD All but Dissertation candidates considered but Ph.D. must be conferred by August of 2018. Teaching and research expertise commensurate of a tenuretrack assistant professor in a university setting. Ability to work collaboratively on research and academic projects across disciplines with other faculty within the department and throughout the College of Engineering. Ability to advise andor work with diverse individuals and groups that include undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, university administrators, and the general public. Capacity to acquire funding from external sources and publish in peerreviewed journals and clearly articulate how their planned research and teaching activities will integrate with the College of Engineering Strategic Plan. Ability to teach in the area broadly identified as communications or energy systems, as well as introductory electrical engineering courses. Course development and curriculum development experience preferred. Wage under collective bargaining agreement is for ninemonth academic year 19.5 biweekly pay periods. Any salary augmentations, including summer contract extensions, paid as set out in collective bargaining agreement.
