ANY SUITABLE COMBINATION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE IS ACCEPTABLE. Requires Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field followed by 5 years of progressive experience in programming in Scala, Java or Python, development and automated testing in a CICD environment, GITJenkins and pipeline automation, developing and testing realtime dataprocessing and analytics application system, SQL development on Database or BIDW, operating with large scale data in petabytes, Shell scripting, and Web Services including API development and testing, and using Hive, Impala, Spark, Hadoop, HBase, Kafka, and machine learning algorithms. In lieu of a Bachelors degree followed by 5 years of progressive experience, employer will accept a Masters or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above and 2 years of experience in the skill sets stated above. May work from home within commuting distance to Verizons office in Alpharetta, GA for 2 days per week.
