Requirements PhD degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biological Sciences, or related field plus 1 year experience in job offered or 1 year experience in Frameshift Peptide Array platform for early cancer diagnosis and cancer vaccine discoveries; statistical analysis for cancer vaccine design and select vaccine components for human preventive and therapeutic cancer vaccines; machine learning approaches to frameshift peptide array data and to optimize prediction algorithms for early stage breast cancer diagnosis; performing cancer vaccine studies in multiple mouse tumor models including transgenic mouse models and injectable mouse models; preparing and drafting manuscripts for cancer related work within the lab; performing bioinformatics analysis on data generated by Frameshift Array platform and design validation study for the platform; using programming languages including python, R for high dimensional data exploration, analysis and visualization; applying bioinformatic programming languages including biopython, bioperl to human genome and transcriptome for building vaccine candidates database; using statistical programming tools including SAS, JMP pro and R for experiment design, experiment validation and results analysis; collecting and analyzing cancer driver gene mutations data from COSMIC database and TCGA database; and analyzing patterns of microsatellite frameshift mutations in RNA sequencing data from cancer patients with BLAST. The nature of the position requires providing advanced capabilities in solving complex business problems and creating solutions for the companys core areas. Understanding the process and problemsolving techniques for business processes as well as using the latest technology are key to the offered position. The subject position is not a runofthe mill position. Rather, this position requires multifaceted and complex job duties that involve coordinating projects, taking responsibility for projects, and communicating with senior management and other departments both formally and informally to ensure that their needs and requirements are met.
