Defining functional safety requirements, technical safety requirements, and electrical safety requirements for embedded driveline control systems.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with AAM, responsible in part for performing and participating in planning and execution of functional safety activities throughout the product engineering development lifecycle of projects in automotive driveline, and electrification spaces; conducting safety assessment and conformance support to product engineering teams participating in execution of AAMs functional safety lifecycle; deriving functional safety requirements and technical safety requirements; and performing system and subsystemlevel functional safety analysis of automotive driveline products such as allwheeldrive systems, 4x4 systems, limited slip differentials, and electric drive units. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience with, applicable engineering concepts and issues, a Masters Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent education, and 2 years experience working in a Functional Safety position, is required, as well as Automotive Functional Safety Engineer or Automotive Functional Safety Professional certification in ISO 26262, as the position involves performing safety analysis of automotive driveline embedded control system electricalelectronic architectures and circuit schematics used in actuation of automotive driveline products consistent with ISO 2626252018; and elicitation and definition of electricalelectronic hardware safety requirements and safety mechanisms for embedded control of automotive driveline products; and defining functional safety requirements, technical safety requirements, and electrical safety requirements for embedded driveline control systems.
